Custom Cylinders International Inc. provides a wide variety of special designed hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders for the Original Equipment Manufacturing industry. The type of OEM developed or designed by Custom Cylinders International Inc. range from large hydraulic cylinders to operate press equipment to small pneumatic cylinders to lock prison doors. By providing new cylinders to the OEM customer, the natural associated service that has developed from the Production activity was a custom Repair Service. The ability to design special application hydraulic or air cylinders for specialized equipment, or provide low cost replacement cylinders for existing machinery has provided Custom Cylinders International Inc. with a wide range of experience in building unique cylinders.

RECREATIONAL VEHICLE

Custom Cylinders International Inc. has been manufacturing hydraulic cylinders for the Recreational Vehicle industry for more than 25 years. The majority of these cylinders fall into two types: Motor home leveling cylinders and Room slide out cylinders. In addition to the RV industry a large number of cylinders have been made for the horse trailer and general purpose trailer vehicles. A few of the brands known to use the Custom Cylinders International, Inc. design are Fleetwood Motor Homes, Fleetwood Travel Trailers, Kwikee Level Best Systems, Equalizer Systems, Dutchmen Travel Trailers, Sundowner Horse Trailers, Stetson Products, The Jack Systems, National RV, Gulf Stream Motor Homes, Hydra-Slide Products, Taylor-Newcomb Engineering, Coachmen Clipper, Viking Industries, and Sooner Trailers.

Replacement cylinders are maintained in stock for shipment to RV dealerships, RV internet stores, repair service companies, and directly to the consumer. In addition to providing the original replacement cylinders, CCI offers a rebuild and remanufacturing service for cylinders manufactured by other companies. Lead time for shipment will vary from stock cylinders shipment within 24 hours to less than 2 weeks for repair or remanufactured cylinders. Technical information is available through the Engineering department at CCI for specific applications.

In addition to the leveling and slide-out cylinders, CCI has developed a unique miniature hydraulic system for leveling fold down campers, using a standard hand held drill. From this application another system was developed to raise the roof on a fold down camper. This latter system is marketed under the brand names of ROOF JENIE and E-Z POWER LIFT SYSTEM. These systems can be installed by a dealer, the customer, or at our factory. Systems have been successfully installed on units manufactured by Coleman, Viking, Forest River, Dutchmen, and Starcraft

TRAVEL TRAILER HYDRA-SLIDE CYINDERS FLEETWOOD DESIGNS

PART# 141625-36H TT / Living Room Red 1 5/8" Bore, 36 9/16" Stroke, 1 7/8" OD, 64 31/32" OAL, 5/8" Rod / The original design manufactured for any Fleetwood travel trailer that has the HYDRA-SLIDE hydraulic system that operates to move the Living Room, in or out, approximately 36 ½". NOTE: This cylinder is typically used with 141500-36H when two cylinders are used to operate the room slide. To operate properly the cylinders must be of different bore size. The total length of the cylinder is measured from the center of the mounting hole at the rear, to the tip of the rod, and will be slightly less than 65". The outside diameter of the cylinder body is 1 7/8", while the rod diameter is 5/8". The color of the cylinder is to help identify the correct part number, and this cylinder color should be RED.

PART# 141625-33H TT / Living Room Blue 1 5/8" Bore, 33 9/16" Stroke, 1 7/8" OD, 64 31/32" OAL, 5/8" Rod / The original design for any Fleetwood travel trailer that has the HYDRA-SLIDE hydraulic system that operates to move the Living Room, in or out, approximately 33 ½". NOTE: This cylinder is typically used with 141500-33H when two cylinders are used to operate the room slide. To operate properly the cylinders must be of different bore size. The total length of the cylinder is measured from the center of the mounting hole at the rear, to the tip of the rod, and will be slightly less than 65". The outside diameter of the cylinder body is 1 7/8", while the rod diameter is 5/8". The color of the cylinder is to help identify the correct part number, and this cylinder color should be BLUE.

PART# 141500-33H TT / Living Room Gray 1 1/2" Bore, 33 9/16" Stroke, 1 3/4" OD, 64 31/32" OAL, 5/8" Rod / The original design for any Fleetwood travel trailer that has the HYDRA-SLIDE hydraulic system that operates to move the Living Room, in or out, approximately 33 ½". NOTE: This cylinder is typically used with 141625-33H when two cylinders are used to operate the room slide. To operate properly the cylinders must be of different bore size. The total length of the cylinder is measured from the center of the mounting hole at the rear, to the tip of the rod, and will be slightly less than 65". The outside diameter of the cylinder body is 1 3/4", while the rod diameter is 5/8". The color of the cylinder is to help identify the correct part number, and this cylinder color should be GREY.

PART# 141500-24H TT / Bedroom Black 1 1/2" Bore, 24" Stroke, 1 3/4" OD, 41"OAL, 5/8" Rod / The original design manufactured for any Fleetwood travel trailer that has the HYDRA-SLIDE hydraulic system that operates to move the Bed Room, in or out, approximately 24". The total length of the cylinder is measured from the center of the mounting hole at the rear, to the tip of the rod, and will be about 41". The outside diameter of the cylinder body is 1 3/4", while the rod diameter is 5/8". The color of the cylinder should be BLACK.

PART# 141625-14H MOTOR HOME RED OR BLACK 1 5/8" Bore, 14" Stroke, 1 7/8" OD , 21 23/32" OAL, 3/4" Rod / This cylinder was used for the Flair, Pace Arrow, Bounder, American Eagle, and other Fleetwood Industries motor home brands to operate the front room slide. Due to the design of the slide out mechanism, this cylinder will usually fail due to lack of lubrication of the slide. In cooperation with the Fleetwood Motor Home engineering department a new design was developed that has proven to be quite successful in reducing the reasons for failure. VERSION #8 is now offered in the new configuration as a standard replacement item. The outside diameter of the cylinder body is 1 7/8", has a ¾" rod, 14" stroke, and is approximately 21 ¾" from the center of the mounting hole to the tip of the rod. The color of the cylinder will be BLACK; however there were a number of cylinders painted different colors during the change over to the new version.

PART# 14SCN58-18-14H MOTOR HOME BLACK Stroke control nut for the 141625-14H hydraulic cylinder. The Stroke Control Nut was used for the Flair, Pace Arrow, Bounder, American Eagle, and other Fleetwood Industries motor home brands to operate the front room slide. Due to the design of the slide out mechanism, this cylinder will usually fail due to lack of lubrication of the slide. In cooperation with the Fleetwood Motor Home engineering department a new design was developed that has proven to be quite successful in reducing the reasons for failure. PART# 162500-16H and 163000-16H This rugged cylinder design is used for the single hitch leg of the combination horse trailer / travel trailer RV units. This design has been used for several years by the Sooner Trailer Manufacturing Company of Oklahoma. These two cylinders are 2 1/2" bore X 16" and 3" X 18" stroke design with a 3/4" inside diameter cross tube on the cap (blind end) and a 3/4" cross hole drilled through the piston rod end. The rear port is a #6 SAE O ring boss and the front port is a #4 SAE O ring boss style. This basic design has been in production since 1999, with approximately 5,000 shipped from stock.

PART# 182500-16HM, 163000-08H, 163000-10H, 162500-16HM This cylinders design was originally designed in 1989 for the leveling systems used on RV motor homes. Companies that have used this cylinders design include Hughes Leveling Systems, Stetson Products, Kwikee Products,Equalizer Systems, The Jack Company, and other non-RV companies. Bore sizes are 2 1/2" and 3", non-repairable,feature heavy duty seals, heavy chrome plate on the piston rod, and stroke lengths from 8" to 30". This design has a heavy duty 16 hole mounting plate that is welded to the cylinder. The rod assembly does not allow any rotation in the operating cycle, and the rod end has a 3/4-10 threaded hole or a simple cross hole in the end for mounting a landing pad. Known RV motor homes that have used this design are National, Gulf Stream, Fleetwood, and Winnebago.

PART# 201125-12H, 201125-15H, 201125-18H, 201125-20H, 201125-25H, 201125-30H, 201125-36H Although this design was developed and used by several RV OEMs for small room slide out designs, they were sold through the Equalizer Systems distribution network. This version comes in stroke lengths of 12", 18 1/2", 20", 25", 30", and 36". The bore size is 1 1/8", has #6 SAE "O" boss ports, 3/4" piston rod, rod end is threaded 5/8-18, and the rear cap is threaded 5/8-18.
